In 1964 Ted enroll at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. After graduation he free-lanced for many years in Toronto and did countless advertising agency assignments. Ted's illustrations and editorial cartoons appeared in many national newspapers. From 1978 until 1990 he taught at his alma mater in Toronto, moving shortly thereafter to St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
When young, Ted exchanged grounds-keeping duties for instruction from some members of the Canadian Group of Seven and several other renowned artists of that era. Ted now works in his barn-studio right on the ocean in St. Andrews , N.B.
Ted continues to paint in his studio while owning and managing the Gables Restaurant with his wife Elaine in St. Andrews. He continues to do editorial cartoons for the local paper
