Bonnie was raised in the Philadelphia area and earned BA in Art from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. She spent most of here career teaching art in public and private schools from Missouri to Maine. Bonnie recently retired from teaching in Fryeburg, Maine and moved to Washington County so that she could devote more time to painting. She still helps out teaching in the Pembroke area. Bonnie enjoys working “plein air”. Simply put; in the open air. She also works in her studio and focuses mostly on Maine landscapes, seascapes and other objects found in nature. Her primary media is oil paints, but also enjoys working with water color and egg tempera.
